[ ☆ CHESTER ☆ ]

:icond-a-m-m-e-d:
Name
Cymbelline Maceachthighearna ( She introduces herself as 'Chester', however. )

Gender ;;
Female

Age ;;
57 Years, July 19th, 1958

Height/weight ;;
5'3" / 126 lbs || 4'3" / 120 lbs [demon form]

Element ;;
Shadow

Partner ;;
DMMD: Cass by SgtRebel

Demon Form ;;
A Dullahan, or Irish reaper. Dullahans are creatures that resemble humans almost identically, aside from one defining factor: The lack a head, and instead, smoke-like shadows billow from where their heads should be. Hues of the smoke tend to vary, but they are almost always dark enough to be taken for black. Generally peaceful/passive unless threatened, they feed on those that are dying or near death, and can sense those that are near death within a small distance from themselves so they can seek out their next meal.

Abilities ;;
Umbrakinesis: In her weakened state, Chester is unable to do very much with her powers. At current, she is able to move her smoke at will, as always, and create very flimsy barriers out of them, or small weapons, but nothing is very solid at this stage at all.

Personality ;;
;; Chester can easily be summed up in a few words. Crazy, hot-headed, and violent...at least, that is what most who do not take much time to get to know her are able to say. Indeed, Chester begins most relationships as prickly, foul, and quick to throw a punch, but there is, of course, more to her than that. In best case, Chester is actually a quiet and reserved individual, preferring to sit back and watch, rather than be directly involved until she feels the time is right. An opportunist, if you will. In worst, or even usual cases, she'd loud, dramatic, and violent. Not with her speech (because what is speaking), but with her actions, throwing punches left and right in order to get somewhere that she actually can return to that best case.
Most would think of Chester as a complete meathead, but she is much more studious than those believe, and you're able to see her practicing somewhere, or attempting to decipher words in a book on her own. Aside from the bad, there is also the good in Chester that many fail to see. She's fiercely loyal to those she cares for, dutiful, and sincere as they come. (read: she's a horrible liar) A little slow on the uptake at times, yes, but once she puts her mind to something it's quite hard to stop her from finishing.

Likes ;;
;; Fighting
;; Studying
;; Being praised
;; Warm baths
;; Pitch Darkness
;; Young children
;; Horses

Dislikes ;;
;; Eating / Food
;; Certain smells (she has a weak stomach)
;; Hats
;; Clothing in general
;; Wearing an excess of clothes (which, in her opinion, is putting on anything at all)
;; Liars
;; Making a fool of herself

History ;;

;; Most, if not all young dullahans don't have a very clear idea of how they're born. As far as they know, they usually just...come into existence, waking up from what seemed like a long sleep. Chester was no different. She'd awakened in Belvior Forest in Ireland just two years before the turn of the decade, a naked, headless corpse lied in the green of the area. Not to say she wasn't spotted once or twice before she'd awakened, but she'd gotten up and quickly left her place soon after awakening, moving away from that exact forest on instinct. For the first couple decades of her life, she'd survived on small animals, dying birds, squirrels, and the occasional larger mammal that was near the end of her life. Not being the most discreet about her presence, she'd been seen by humans often, and moved shortly after being seen.

It was only after the turn of the century that Chester had graduated from feeding on small animals to that of humans, moving closer to smaller towns and, eventually large cities. Her residences would often be near hospices, medical bays, poor areas known for violence, and, as usual, if she were seen, she'd move, developing the habit of not staying in one place for too long, and simply watching what she could, when she could, studying humans and their patterns so they would better make targets.

It was late in 2014 when Chester had run into trouble. She'd been caught in the middle of taking a young boy's life by a nurse, and her reaction to seeing a headless woman had, obviously been less than stellar. She'd screamed, and if not silenced, Chester would have a much bigger problem on her hands than just one able-bodied human. She'd panicked and killed the nurse as well before making her escape. It was time to leave that city...unfortunately, another nurse in the ward had seen Chester escaping, and alerted the authorities. Within twenty minutes, She'd been chased into the woods and detained after much struggle...and she'd then been sent to facility 66.

Other
;; She's both illiterate and does not know how to talk. She understands English and Gaelic tongues, she just cannot speak them herself, due to being unused to...well, having a tongue.

;; If you make fun of her height, she will likely attempt to punch you in the most tender area you've got.

;; In her demon form, she is mute. Her smoke her only mode of 'sight' and communication, as it helps her sense heat in items and establishes a temporary mental link with those close enough to breathe it in.

;; Before being brought to Facility 66, Chester would study humans from a distance, so she believes she knows more than enough to act, in theory...but when she puts it into practice, attempting to show off, she tends to make a huge fool of herself indeed.

;; She's able to let smoke leak out of her mouth and nose, and it works the same as it would in her demon form, however, it's hard for her to control when and where she can let it out.

;; There's a seam running through the middle of the jewels on her neck. They are, technically, where her new head joins the rest of her body. If one were to poke or pull at it, however, the seam would seem (badumtss) like no more than a simple tattoo. (meaning pulling her head off is not a thing you can do ok. it is stuck there.)

;; Speaking of tattoos, Chester has a celtic knot on the back of her neck. All of her kind is born with one somewhere, so it's more of a birthmark than anything. The 'seam' on her neck stops at either end of this birthmark.

;; She doesn't understand simple practices, such as eating actual food, and finds the feeling of chewing and swallowing food to be highly disgusting. (She will starve herself if left alone, simply to avoid the feeling)

;; She also doesn't like peeing. That's even more gross than eating.

;; Do not ask her what her full name is, even if you actually know it. She'll refuse to tell you, for fear of messing her own name up.

;; If you look inside of her mouth, it's completely black, with the occasional flash of dark red color. Those are shadows, and they are what produce her 'smoke'.

;; The jewels on her neck are what store her meals, and depending on how brightly they shine, it indicates how 'full' she is.

;; Dullahans of Chester's kind do not form actual 'families', or 'nest', per-se. Their constant instinct to move around and avoid actual human contact as much as possible has kept this from happening. Parents often form children from a combination of their own shadows and earthen materials in the immediate area. This process takes some time, but as soon as the 'offspring' has a fully formed body, parents will make sure to leave them in a semi-secluded area before departing on their own once again. 'Reproduction' tends to take place primarily near the end of a dullahan's lifespan.

RP Prompt

She'd spent too long in that room. Too long looking, too long observing this tiny human that had been so close to his last breaths. Chester found humans fascinating, really, how they'd moved, communicated with sounds instead of thoughts....and how they could come in such small sizes. She herself had never been what a human would call a 'child', and this was the only way she'd been able to be up close with one. They were small, fragile...so...

Her thoughts had been stopped by another presence in the room. Another human, but this one had been much more alive than the tiny human she'd been about to put out of his misery. What was more, there had been vibrations in the air, shrill and high coming from this one. A scream, she remembered the humans called it, and it had been one that often attracted more humans. She couldn't have that. Absolutely couldn't have that. If there were more humans around, who knew what was going to happen with her? It was a split-second decision, and she'd abandoned the sleeping boy in favor of silencing the other human...and leaving without taking a single meal. She didn't have time...she had to leave.

And she did, sprinting through alleyways and into the nearest forest, taking cover underneath a heavy bush of trees. She'd have to move quickly, but with having not eaten, she'd already been tired...lethargic. It was difficult for her to move without having eaten properly in so long. And what was more difficult, humans had followed her, and there were a lot of them. Within minutes, she'd been clapped in strange metals, unable to use her weapons, scared, and highly confused. What was she doing? Where was she going? She just wanted to go back into the forest and...and sleep. Where were they taking her?
